WAR ON THE RELIC FRONTIER!

With the fall of the Deckoni Empire, the former Imperial States have been undergoing a tense series of border skirmishes and resource wars, trying to to find their fate in a new world. However, one ambitious news reporter uncovered a sinister secret of the old government: Isolated in the small province of the Clubak Frontier the Deckoni Imperial Government organized, constructed, tested, and hid weapons of war, hideous atrocity ridden machines, and other tools of annihilation unable to be used.

The hope was to inspire the others to disarm, to stop war and reflect on the sins of the past. What resulted was much different.

Now four factions descend upon the Clubak Frontier, now dubbed the Relic Frontier for these prized artifacts of destruction. Each with their own machinations, desires, and ambitions. This is a war to see who will claim the Relics, secure the Frontier, and change the course of history.

SPRUGaZINE #1 - The Relic Frontier, is a look into the madness of conflict and warfare through the lens of two distinct batches of soldiers: the regular boots on the ground and tank commanders. The SPRUGaZINE has two unique Tabletop Roleplaying Games in it: Boots in Mud and Iron Caskets.

Boots in Mud is an somewhat class based D10 game inspired by Friday Night Firefight and a few other games to create a tense story of soldiers at war. You play not as the daring heroes or genius tacticians, but instead a Company of human beings caught in the gears of a conflict you don't fully understand. Combat is fast, deadly, and requires a bit of luck with the Hit Location based damage system. With a full Campaign Mode with Large Scale Combat rules to satisfy the most armchair generals.

Iron Caskets is a custom D10 system focused on tank warfare, with the players taking the role as Tank Commanders. A tanker is nothing without a crew, so the Tank Commander will have a daring crew of soldiers alongside them, each skilled in different parts of managing the rolling iron bunker they call a tank. The problem? Armored Warfare is a raging display of heavy ordinance, as tankers duke it out against one another in ferocious cat and mouse exchanges, where a single bad hit can cause your tank, to become your casket. Death is never the end though, your victories will carry over to the Regiment as they lament your death to harden their resolve, ushering forth the next line of Commanders and crews.

In addition, I wrote two "articles" in there: A Diatribe on War and Shakespeare for the Worms about war, conflict, and dying gloriously.

Hope you enjoy it, I have the idea for SPRUGaZINE #2, but this is kind of an experimentation to see if this even works the way I think it does. I'm winging it here people! If you want to see more, then cool, just leave a comment.

Thanks for the update, man!!! Played a one shot, It WAS BRUTAL, the player liked it.

Question. I read the iron casket (loved it) but i cant find the Health of the crew, where is that info? thanks!!!

After saying "Yeah, it's on that page" and going through it again. . . then double checking, and then going to a DIFFERENT document, finally going to an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT VARIANT of the game to check.

and lo' it's not there.

It's 10 + Crew Skills. So if your Driver has 3 [Drive] and 1 [Loader] he has 14 Health. If you want a more hardcore rendition, then just do it Crew Skills. Your tank will turn into a blender in this version.

I will fix this one day. I've been meaning to return to it.

lol. I used this logic, as It was the same as the componentes logic. Does some type of permanent injure happens If thay receive certain damage, or is it up to the warmaster?

You're call in that regard, nothing permanent unless a player starts crying incoherently that Jimbo the Driver cannot die when he takes 100 Damage.

But Jimbo the Driver is also probably a fine curry at that point, so take it as you will.

Lmao. Yeah, thanks. Gonna try a one shot. Awsome RPG, keep it up!!!!!
